Welcome to the Jigsaw Blog

Some people may not know that we have been developing software for creating analysis ready datasets from raw healthcare data for 10 years, and that we will have completed our 20th year in business in December of this year (2023).

Over the years, we have mentioned a few things about ourselves and our software development work via LinkedIn. And we created a YouTube video that gives a brief introduction to our Jigsaw software in mid-2022 (see About). But it is time to let people know more about what we have done and what we are working on.

The purpose of this blog is threefold:

  • To describe Jigsaw and its capabilities, including potential areas of future development.
  • To highlight research using Jigsaw, including some interesting things we have learned along the way. This includes the development of the Generalized Data Model.
  • To comment on relevant topics in epidemiology and outcomes research, both generally, and as they relate to software development and data organization.

We hope you find it interesting to read. We will provide previews of new blog posts on LinkedIn, and we may even do the same on social media. We don’t enable comments for our blog posts because the internet can be a strange place sometimes. But please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any questions or concerns.
